Wellness is a state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate efforts.  It is a unique approach to healthcare that emphasizes on preventing illness and prolonging healthy life as opposed to merely ‘treating’ diseases.

Wellness can be achieved by active pursuit of choices and a lifestyle that leads to a state of holistic health. It includes proper nutrition, exercising and relaxation.

Wellness if not a passive or static state but a quest that is associated with intentions and choices of lifestyles for optimal state of health and wellbeing. Secondly, Wellness is linked to holistic health that extends beyond just physical health or simply an absence of illness. It incorporates mental, emotional and social aspects that work in harmony.
